How to View Multiple Wyze Cameras at once (Real Scenario – No fluff)

If you have more than one Wyze Cam, perhaps you've been thinking about how to view multiple Wyze Cameras on a single screen using some software.

There's no fluff in this article; you can have access to information that will help you to get your cameras working in the software just like the one in the picture below.

The solution is straightforward; you can use a VMS (video management system) to manage all you Wyze Cameras from a single software. Depending on the software you choose, it's possible to view dozens of cameras simultaneously.

You can also use a cloud service that supports multiple cameras.

The image above shows my Wyze Cam V2 streaming video to one of this VMSs and as you can see, there are space available to add more cameras.

Let's take a look at some of them.

The Wyze App limitation

The Wyze camera is a consumer product designed to be simple and work with a mobile app to let users have access to one camera at a time.

This simplicity is not bad at all because most people want to have an inexpensive camera that is easy to install and set up themselves.

When looking for a solution to view multiple cameras on a single screen, you start moving more to the professional side of surveillance systems that use professional Cloud services or VMSs designed to do exactly that.

The best solution

There are different surveillance software out there, and I've already discussed the advantages of them in the article "Best CCTV software."

I've been working for years as a surveillance system engineer designing such as professional systems, and believe me, I know how to help you out.

To view more than one Wyze Cam at the same time, you just need to use a software or cloud service that organizes the cameras on the same screen using a matrix of 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, or different combinations of that.

The picture below shows an example of a software that does that.

Luxriot Layout with 4 cameras

As you can see, the software allows you to have multiple cameras in a single interface, and the layout can be changed according to your needs.

Let's talk about the software.

Software to view multiple Wyze Cameras

At first, the Wyze Cam only works with its app, and it's impossible to use thirty-party software unless you enable the RTSP protocol on the camera to connect with such surveillance software.

By enabling the camera's RTSP protocol, you break the camera limitation to stream the video to other platforms that run on PC and even on MAC.

Here's a list of software you can use to view the Wyze Cam.

  1. Luxriot Evo
  2. Blue Iris
  3. ISpy
  4. WebcamXP
  5. Shinobi
  6. Cam Wizard
  7. Ivideon
  8. Contaware

These are inexpensive and easy-to-use software that you can install and set up by yourself. There are hundreds of other software (VMS) that work with cameras that have enabled the RTSP protocol because it's part of a universal standard.

You can read the article "Best CCTV software for modern IP cameras" for more details about each of the software listed above. You can also check the articles that specifically show how to set up Wyze Cam using RTSP. Here's the list.

As you can see, everything that you need to get multiple Wyze Cam running in the same software is right here, and it's just a question of following the instructions on how to install and set up one of this software.

If you like to use Open source software, check the article "Open Source CCTV software" to check what are the options available. Most of them also work with the RTSP protocol, thus supporting the Wyze Cam.

Cloud service with multiple cameras

If you are not a big fan of installing software on your computer to set up the cameras, you can use a cloud service to stream the video to your mobile app.

As long as you pick a service (such as the Angelcam) that allows you to view multiple cameras at the same time, your problem is solved.

The picture below shows an example of multiple cameras on a mobile phone.

Remember that you need to enable the RTSP protocol on your camera to be able to set up the camera to use a cloud service, but as soon as you have it that way, there's no limitation, and you can choose the service that you like the most.

Here are some Cloud services that I've tested with the Wyze Cam.

There are a lot of other cloud services out there you can choose from.

The app upgrade is something you must keep your eyes on.

Sometimes the Wyze Labs releases camera and app upgrade that brings new features, and perhaps the use of multiple cameras could be one of them.

I recommend you to always check if something new is coming.

In the day I'm writing this article, there's no such feature, but perhaps on the day you are reading, it could be a new Wyze app out there.

Conclusion

You can view multiple Wyze Cameras at the same time by using a thirty party software or a cloud service with multiple camera views.

There are a lot of different options available to choose from as long as you enable the RTSP protocol by installing a special firmware.

You can view the cameras either by using software or mobile apps.
