GeoVision IP cameras and recorders use username admin and password admin for most of its devices. If you lost the password and can’t log in, that’s the first credentilas you may try to be able to log in to the device. But there are also other credentials you can try as shown below:
- Username: admin Password: admin
- Username: admin Password: 0000
- Username: 0000 Password: 0000
Type of accounts on Geovision devices
There are different types of accounts for Geovision devices, so make sure you are using the correct one.

Power User:
The power user is the administrator account for a Geovision device, which has all the privileges to modify all the device configurations and create and manage other users. The power account can’t be deleted from the device
Guest users:
The guest account allows the users to have view access only, they can’t modify the configuration and neither play or export footage by default.
Users:
Regular users can watch live video and even control the PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) cameras. The privileges are customizable, so it’s possible to give more power to the users if necessary.
Supervisors:
Users that can do more than the regular user and control most of the device configuration. Don’t have the same privileges as the power users but they are powerful enough to get a lot of things done.
