		<description>You need to clarify this question.  You're not going to get free CCTV equipment from anyone unless you steal it (which I don't recommend).  Most newer CCTV systems use a digital video recorder or DVR for recording as time lapse recorders (tape recorders) are becoming more and more obsolete.  However I must tell you that using a standard VCR will not work to record video very well, you will only be able to record for so many hours versus with a time lapse recorder which can record for days.  Also if you want to view over the internet you will need to be on a DVR.  Pretty simple home kits can be found at the site below.</description>

 If you want to catch someone in the act, a cheaper way is to go to a spy website and buy a hidden camera hooked to a VCR.  lots of fast forwarding to the good stuff, but that is what the "Nanny cams" are mad out of.</description>
